Mainstage Auditions | Seussical the Musical
Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once on This Island, Ragtime), have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.
The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. Seussical is fun for the whole family!

RTAA Presents | The 3rd Annual Champagne Gala
Join us for an evening of music and fun to raise money for the theatre! The cost of your ticket goes directly to the theatre to help fund our many programs that benefit the youth and adults of Placer County.
Your ticket includes a glass of champagne (or sparkling cider) and our dessert buffet. Additional beverages can be purchased at our no-host bar.Doors will open at 6:30pm so you can take your time and enjoy the champagne and sweets! The performance will start at 7:30pm sharp.Audience members are encouraged to dress up and come enjoy a beautiful night at the theatre.

It's Gala Audition time again! Auditions for Roseville Theatre Arts Academy's 3rd Annual Champagne Gala are September 16th at 1:00. Directed and Choreographed by Jerald Bolden with musical direction by Jennifer Vaughn, we're looking forward to another night of inspiring music to celebrate all that Broadway is. This year's twist is we'd like you to audition with 32 bars of a solo, or grab a friend and make it a duet, trio, quartet, quintet (you get the point) that you'd like to perform...or perhaps have performed and want to resurect. We're looking for talented quick studies who are ready to make a beautiful night for our audience and want to include your creativity in the process if it fits with our vision.

When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. But he’s not prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges pins a father longing for the son he lost against a young man aching for the father who walked out on him.
To the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top 40 score, augmented with dynamic new songs, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and open mind.

His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.
